So, if you’ve been following this website for a little while, you know that I wrote a multiple part history of my choir, the Wicker Park Choral Singers. I am so excited to share that we are going to be on the radio tonight at 8 PM, CDT, 98.7 WFMT in Chicago.
You can stream the performance live here, too.
And if you’re the sort to want program notes, like me, then click here to follow along with our pieces, and learn a bit about them as we sing.
And why the picture of the watch?
Well, it’s a Gruen Curvex “driving” watch. My grandfather won it in the Morris B. Sachs Amateur Hour, WENR, 1940 radio contest and drove up to Chicago to perform his song. So, I’ll be taking it with me for good luck on my own Chicago radio debut, tonight, 72 years later.
Thanks, Grandpa.
